Breast Asymmetry Correction Before and After

Breast Asymmetry Correction Photos

Breast asymmetry correction surgery addresses breast unevenness. It helps create a more balanced breast appearance by increasing or decreasing the size of your breast. If one of your breasts is drooping, the surgery lifts the affected breast. This procedure is a great option for correcting major differences in the size, shape, or position of your breasts. Our breast asymmetry correction photos show how the procedure can treat noticeable differences in your breasts.

Causes of uneven breasts

Slight differences in your breasts are normal. However, some may develop uneven breasts which can be a cause for concern. This can result from the following:

  • Birth defects
  • Body changes during puberty
  • Breastfeeding
  • Certain medical conditions or diseases
  • Hormonal changes
  • Pregnancy
  • Surgical removal of the breast as part of cancer treatment
  • Trauma or accident
  • Weight changes

Methods of correcting uneven breasts

Depending on your breast condition, we will recommend the following surgeries:

  • Breast augmentation: It makes use of implants to add volume to the smaller breast.
  • Breast reduction: It involves the removal of excess fat, skin, and tissue from the larger breast.
  • Breast lift: It lifts the drooping or sagging breast to achieve an ideal position.

Best candidates for the surgery

During your consultation, we will assess your health history, breast condition, and expectations. This allows us to create a treatment plan that will best suit your needs. The surgery may be a good option for you if:

  • You have fully developed breasts.
  • You have good physical and mental health.
  • You have realistic expectations.
  • You have noticeable differences in the appearance of your breasts.
  • You have low self-esteem due to the appearance of your breasts.
  • You are suffering from physical discomforts due to your breast condition.
  • Your daily activities are affected by your breast condition.

What to expect during the surgery

The surgery is performed using general anaesthesia to reduce discomforts. Our experienced plastic surgeon Dr Morris Ritz will create specific incisions based on your breast condition. He will then close these incisions after inserting the implants or reshaping your breasts. To prevent fluid build-up, your surgeon will insert drains in your breasts. Dr Ritz will then wrap the operated breast with sterile gauze. Once your condition is stable, you will be allowed to go home.
