Thigh Lift Before and After

Thigh Lift Photos

A thigh lift improves the contour of your legs by removing excess skin and fat. The procedure is recommended if you have sagging skin in your thighs due to ageing. It can also address fatty deposits in your thighs that do not respond well to diet and exercise. Here you can view real thigh lift photos of our patients.

Best candidates for thigh lift

The best way to know if the procedure is right for you is to consult with our plastic surgeon Dr Morris Ritz. During your initial consultation, we will conduct a complete health assessment to determine factors that can affect your results. In general, you are a potential candidate for the procedure if:

  • You have excess skin in your thighs after a major weight loss.
  • You have fatty deposits in your thighs that do not respond well to weight loss efforts.
  • You have lesser clothing options.
  • You have low self-esteem due to the appearance of your thighs.
  • You have realistic goals.
  • You have sagging skin in your thighs due to ageing.

The thigh lift procedure

The procedure is usually performed under general anaesthesia to reduce discomforts. Depending on your condition, your surgeon can use different incision techniques. They can be created at the top of your leg or on your groin area. Once the incisions are made, your surgeon will remove excess skin. The remaining skin is then pulled up to tighten the area. If necessary, your surgeon can use liposuction to remove excess fat in your thighs. Once the desired thigh appearance is achieved, your surgeon will close the incisions using sutures. During this process, surgical drains are inserted into the incisions. This helps remove excess fluid from the operated site.

The Recovery Period

Your recovery time will depend on the extent of your procedure. After your surgery, you will experience minimal pain and swelling on your thighs. Your surgeon will prescribe pain relievers and anti-inflammatories to control these discomforts. To prevent injury to the incision site, you should avoid unnecessary leg movements. You should also rest as much as possible.
Your surgeon will give you specific instructions before you get discharged from the hospital or medical facility. These include proper wound care, follow-up schedule, and signs and symptoms to watch out for.
