Mini face lift surgery performed by Morris Ritz is a procedure targeting small areas of the face that are of concern. It is done with a mini skin excision only, where the excess skin is trimmed and resutured to give a more youthful refreshed look. This procedure can sometimes even be done under local anaesthetic.
During your initial consultation with Mr Ritz in Melbourne, he will discuss the procedure with you, pre operatively, what happens during the surgery and your post operative care, and any risks or complications involved, there are risks associated with any surgery no matter how big or small, it is important you are aware of them and understand them. You will have another consultation about 2 weeks prior to your procedure, to discuss the surgery again and answer any further questions you may have.
During the surgery
The procedure is done just as day surgery, either under local anaesthetic or with sedation. Small incisions are made next to the ears, and the excess skin is trimmed and the skin is sutured back.
You will be in recovery for a couple of hours, but you can go home with just a bandage around your head and we will see you about 4 days later.
Post operative care
Some patients are able to drive straight away, if you have had sedation you will not be able to drive for 24 hours, but local anaesthetic is fine. You will be limited with physical activity for 6 weeks, this includes heavy lifting and the gym.
